P is for Procrastination

Happy weekend all!

I love love love spring...right now JN & I are in Springfield visiting his family, and as I have procrastinated for weeks on a 5-10 page Developmental Psychology paper, I arranged to stay in on this lovely Saturday while everyone else was out & about.  It's a nice peaceful place to write, we're out in the country and not at the HL, so there really should be little distraction.  Except, I continue to procrastinate.  So, without further ado, a meme I took on from the lovely Chick in the Czech.  And then I will return to writing.  Probably.  Maybe.

A. Age: 29.  Yes, I was 29 last year, and will be 29 again this year.

B. Bed size: Queen.  Someday we aspire to a King, but for now we're good with this.  While I grumble about always having a knee in my side, really I like the comfort of having my husband close by.
C. Chore you hate: Cleaning out the refrigerator & the microwave.  Also hate taking out the trash.  But I guess that's three chores.

D. Dogs: None for us, we are not allowed to have them where we live.  However, we do like animals & will have a dog as soon as we are able.  So, for now I will claim my parents' dog Bo...he's a big fluffy golden retriever, and such a sweetheart.  I love him!
E. Essential start to your day: Personal space & time, as I don't generally like people in the morning & am groggy & slow moving.  Also, no singing.
F. Favorite color: yellow, specifically daffodil yellow.

G. Gold or silver: Silver

H. Height: 5'4"

I. Instruments: Piano

J. Job title: Client Service Operations Manager, Senior Associate.

K. Kids: None, but would love to have them some day.  Props to the parents for not pressuring us...yet... :)
L. Live: Kansas City

M. Mom’s name: Mary

N. Nicknames: KT or KTMG (my friends), Katrina or Gertie (mom), Kate (dad), Katarina Susanna Emgerary (Grandpa Norb)

O. Overnight hospital stays: none since I was a baby (my hips didnt form correctly so I spent six weeks in traction at cardinal glennon)...fortunately i dont remember any of that.

P. Pet peeve: Laziness.  Also, nervous/mindless tapping drives me nuts too...I have nearly succeeded at breaking my coworkers' mindless pen clicking habits. :)  Truly, i have no idea why we no longer have any clicky pens in the supply cabinet. ;)

Q. Quote from a movie: The flowers!  Are still! Standing!

R. Right or left handed: Right

S. Siblings: One brother

T. Time you wake up: usually between 6 and 8am.  Depends on when I went to sleep the night before.

U. Underwear: Yes, I wear it.

V. Vegetables you dislike: All of them.  No joke.  And tomatoes dont count, they are a fruit.

W. What makes you run late: Oversleeping. Also, i have the "just one more thing" syndrome...

X. X-Rays you’ve had: Lots.  Most recently I had a cardiac score done, which they took pictures of my heart with an MRI machine.  Aside from the whole radiation thing, I just find it fascinating.

Y. Yummy food you make: my cheesecakes arent too shabby, not too long ago I made pumpkin scones & they were a hit.  I also make a mean beef stroganoff.

Z. Zoo- favorite animal: Giraffes.  LOVE the giraffes.

Sigh...ok, back to the paper.  Enjoy the rest of your weekends!
xoxo

I think we may be twins... :-P

For serious, though, I had the malformed hips thing, too. I spent the first several months of my life in a brace. I obv. don't remember it, but my mom said it was a massive pain in the ass trying to do anything with me. Am glad it worked, though! :-)
