Eat Mor Chikin, or Day 3

I'm sure based on the title you know where this is going. Or rather, where I went. I think I'm going to institute a no eating after a certain time of day rule...it's shameful the lack of self control! But wow...I have heard good things about Chik-fil-A, and other than the weird skin-on waffle potato fries, the experience was everything I hoped it would be! That chicken sandwich was DELICIOUS. It might have really been delicious, or it could have been the fact that I knew it was forbidden but did it anyay. Whatevs.  It is important to note that I talked myself out of Sweet Tomatoes (which in hindsight mightve been better...), OG (JN was working tonight) AND Baskin Robbins before I finally caved.  Does that count as willpower?  Certainly this was better than two scoops of Jamocha Almond Fudge...right??

So...now I have been trying to ponder how to work in rest days to this streak business.  It is clear that the diet portion is not included in this streak, although I have had success in the past with using sparkpeople.com, so I think I will try to get back to that.  I ran yesterday & the day before, and in my years of marathon training, or mock-training if you will, a key element was taking a day between workouts.  At a good level of fitness that could mean just doing an easy day between hard days, or taking a complete rest in between hard workouts.  It's safe to say (and somewhat depressing) that at this point it's hard workouts, considering I really am waddling around like my hips have taken a vacation.  Right now it's 10:31pm, and I am sitting on the couch sans workout for the day.

I'm going to call this the streak stutter, and we'll start over at square one tomorrow...goin forward it will be yoga or weights or a long walk on the rest days.

As far as diet goes, I overslept again this morning...I was exhausted!  And that bed was so freakin warm & comfy....so i didnt pack lunch this morning. 
Breakfast - nothin
Midmorning snack - apple spice muffin & a green monster Naked smoothie
Lunch (does it count as lunch if you dont eat it till 2pm?) - 3/4 of a blueberry compote/granola/yogurt parfait
Afternoon snack - nothin
Pre-class snack (on the way to class at 530pm) - an orange
After-class Dinner aka Trainwreck - chik-fil-a deluxe chicken sandwich (YUM), less than 1/2 of the fries, 24oz diet dr pepper.  And because I really have no self control, a bowl of frosted mini-wheats with skim milk when i got home.

Aaand...from here on, one snack allowed after 8pm and if it isnt fresh fruit or veggies (yeah right) it has to be 100 calories or less.

Tomorrow? Day 1A! Here we go...



Oh, and class tonight was Developmental Psych, which I think i really am going to enjoy.  Especially the part where she has promised to let us out a full 40min before the scheduled time is up for most of our sessions.  SCORE!

Hey KT. Nice to see you're blogging again.

I've found your last three posts so refreshing. Sometimes I think that people only put the most exciting aspects of their lives on their blogs and social media outlets - which is unrealistic and tends to bore me. I've found your brutal honesty about your workouts and meals inspiring and refreshing.

Thanks Abby!! I fell off the streak big time, but plan to pick it back up tomorrow. just in time for the long weekend!! :)
